some advice on cleanin up this intake. . .

just picked up a Systemax and accufab throttle body/egr spacer off a guy. I think the intake was sitting on the car for a little while and I want to try to clean it up before i put it on my car. Just wondering if anyone has good suggestions on what works? thanks

Dawn dish soap,scrub well,dry completely,then,Mother's Billet Polish.All done.

Mothers Polishing ball will work wonders on it too. And make take 1/4 the time.

Trust me though, buy a bottle of Simple Green, best stuff EVER made, completleydrench it in it, then scrub it with a sponge or something, and then hose it off, then use a metal polisher. And take off the IAC and throttle body, and if you want to make them look VERY nice, get some high grit sand paper, and just sand it down, itll make it SHINE, then just polish it to clean it up, and first spray the inside with carb cleaner to get all the carbon out.

powder coat it then its clean and new. any color you want they even have a reflective chrome that looks like polished aluminum.
