So, I took my car into ford for a 55K mile service (their quoted price is 250 bucks for the service, ouch).
But, I have been having a few other issues...
1. fog light out
2. Seatbelts essentially don't retract, they are all twisted and even if you try to feed it back it, it doesnt' already retract
3. Headliner in the back was coming down
4. Drivers window seems out of alignment...
So...
Replaving a foglight bulb...they quoted me 60 bucks. That seems crazy to me. I am NOT mechanical at all...but how easy is this for me to do? The bulb is just a few bucks, no?
The seatbelts, he said all they could do is replace them...300 bucks each...any other suggestions or options? Again, how easy is this for me to look at?
Headliner is easy fix, said they can do it no worries.
The drivers window seems to be the issue now. It LOOKs like it is 'falling in' because the back will hit the door/seal, but there will be a gap near the front. The window is slow to go up, and comes down irregularly. He said if it is the motor, it will be at least 400 bucks to fix it. What are your guys' thoughts? Sound like a motor? An alignment? How easy or hard are windows to work on? Is that something, without a mechanical expertise, I need to just pay for?
Any help is GREATLY appreciated...
