Picked up my hood today. Keeping it unpainted for now cuz im lazy/cheap and dont really care, so rice it will stay. The latch and hinge areas aren't reinforced with steel, can you use the stock latch in there? Can you run without?

I would do pins, because anything not named Kaenan or Cervini or Ford Racing will probably shoot up when you least expect it to.

I have seen some places do inverted pins that dont force you to drill through the top of your hood, rather use the hood to attach it to the core support.

With a nice CF hood like that, some research may save you from making holes that you may not like or need.

Nice looking hood!!!To nice to paint LOL!:nice:
I agree about the latching part, since there is no metal reiforcement there,i wouldn't even leave the driveway.
My steeda hood came with a nice thick, large metal plate that is between the top portion, and bottom portion of the hood, and is riveted to the bottom portion.
Definitely do some web search to see your options.;)

nice..looks really good quality... makes me feel better since i cant see mine...

it took them a month to get it to me cause they said they had some issue with the mesh they had originally put in the rear vents and had to get a new vendor... it was supposed to get to me the monday before the 4th of july and my car was going to be painted that weekend so i could pick it up the 10th cause i had to leave on the 12th...hood got there the 13th.....

i was wondering if you had actually ended up buying a hood from them or not... hurry up and get that bad boy on your car cause its gonna look damn sexy :nice:

let me know how you end up getting it installed since everyone is telling you to do research since im using the same hood.... looks effin great though man.. your car is gonna be

CF ones i think as 12-14 (is crazy light), fiber glass like 20-24, i think the stamped metal plus insulation is like 40-45 is my guess.

Have you thought about using a pc680 or other lightweight battery like a dynabatt?

To make the nose less heavy? I own a mustang, not a lotus - i've come to terms with the poor weight distribution.

Don't leave it outside without a cover on it. CF hoods turn yellow in about 6 months if you don't cover it. Mine is either in my garage or under a cover at work.
