So I got to use my Kestrel 4000 Weather Station tonight. I knew the density altitude was going to be a ***** show but it was really bad tonight. On average the DA was 6500ft above sea level with only my last run at a more reasonable 5930ft. Humidity was climbing so the drop in DA wasn't really helping much outside of a bump in trap speeds.

So my car, which is stock save for the SCT tuner and C&L Intake was run with full street trim, mats, spare, jack etc etc. and a quarter tank of Husky 94 Octane fule on a freshly updated Brenspeed 93 Octane tune.

Best overall run was the first one (less heatsoak of course).

R/T - .069
60' - 2.229
330' - 6.134
1/8th E/T - 9.301
1/8th MPH - 77.96
1000' - 12.02
1/4 E/T - 14.306
1/4 MPH - 97.93

Density Altitude This run - 6686ft
Temps - 34.5 Celcius
Humidity - 36.6%
Baro - 26.37

Using the NHRA standard conversion for 6000ft (it doesn't go any higher) :(

1/4 E/T Corrected - 13.233
1/4 MPH Corrected - 105.77

I'm pretty pleased with the numbers, the updated 93 tune I got from Brenspeed was great, really aggressive shifts (more so than what I had before) and more oomph off the line. This run is basically equal to my same best before run done a month ago with better temps and a 1000-1400 ft difference in Density Altitude.

So kudos to Brenspeed, they rock some nice tunes and also big props to my Kestrel 4000, it's way too handy not to have, even for a casual racer like myself.

I really hope I can swing some UDP on the car before fall and do a nice cool air run before the end of the year, I think I could close in on 13.09's with those, maybe 12's with some tire pressure fiddling and some weight drop.
