My Dads Retiring out east and leaving California. He will be giving me his 94 Lightning when he goes.

I just wanted to know the specs on it. I found the basics like HP and Torque and curb Weight.

But what rear end gears does it have?

    Does it have posi?

What is the Tranny in it?

    Thanks,
    Scott

The official SVT site ( www.svt.ford.com ) has a good "archive" section, you can check the '94 stats there. Additionally, you may want to register over at NLOC's msg board forum (Lightning specific): http://www.nloc.net/forum/

I believe it had 4.10 rear gears...don't quote me on that though. :D

Yes to 4.10's, yes to posi...I believe the trans is the E4OD. We've been talking about needing a pickup for awhile now, & if I get one, it'll most likely be a 93-95 L.

Just remember there is NOTHING that that trucklikes more than .........FUEL!

I speak from experience on that. I put 30,000 miles on my 93 before it was stolen. To get to that 30,000 miles took about 3000 gallons of fuel.

I hear you about the Gas. Right now it's $2.47 for 91 octain at Chevron here in San Diego. What a bunch of BS.

But no matter. Burning Gas doen't matter to me. But I like the 4:10 gears and the Posi. I will also keep m eyes out for an extra tranny so I can rebuild one to have for a spare. I like have a spare tranny around for each of my cars for less down time.

    2.47?!??!?! WOW!

I thought $2.09 was bad here for 93.

Hmmm... I am starting to like the Honda more and more every day.

Off the subject.....My 97 Honda civic Hatch (Daily Driver) was just stolen Tuesday morning.....Then found left on the rotors and the rims taken off it at 5am.

I was pissed. Car had minor damage to brakes and front fenders....But they took the rims and new tires I just got 4 days before. I think it someone where I bought them jacked them. Or not I'm just paranoid.

But Gas is Just way to High for me to drive My Mustangs everywhere thats why I have a Civic too. I just did simple clean mods so it didn't look stock or like a ricer....I guess people noticed that and thats why they stole it. :notnice:
