for what it is worth, I ran a tank of 91 octane through in preparation for the supercharger install,
engine was not started for a day, turned plugs 1/8 to 1/4 turn, let pb blaster soak for slightly over 24 hours. I gently worked the plugs back and forth, a few turns were fraught with terror,. No real screaching but some turns back and forth were tighter than others.
All 8 came out pretty easy, some really easy. My car has 33k on it and had only burned 89 octane until two tanks ago. Maybe the long soak in pb blaster did the trick. A ford mechanic told me he had never had any break, he just really soaked it in pb blaster and then worked them back and forth.
I am glad this job is over! Now on to the joy of the kenne bell install!
Thanks for all your input on the spark install. Hopefully I will not need help with the supercharger!
