This winter i plan to put a new h/c/i setup under the hood but i dont know what cam choose, i really want that the people can tell this car is not stock, so i love a good sound of a cam. My setup will the the TFS track heat package for the 5.0 with all the goodies but i dont know if i have to go with the tfs in relation of the big idle problem that the sn95 have. If you have a clip of these cam please post it !!!!!!!!!!
I don't have a clip but a guy down the road from me has a tfs-1 and it sounds really good. Another local guy has one on his 95 and he had some idle problems but from what I have heard it a hit or miss on how the cam is going to act on your car. Some people have problems and some don't. I'm going to be using the tfs-1 on my new setup in a month.
I have the TFS1 cam, but no sound clips. Before I put together the new combo and I have yet to start up the new one. However, with the stock bottom end stock unported gt40 iron heads, stock 94 intake and a few basic bolt on's like pullies,K&N, and gears. I ran a 13.6@102 with a realy bad 60ft. At 2,500-3,000 it felt like a 50 shot going off, the idle was so-so in that it took a little while for the idle to settle/get sorted out by the eec. There was a low rpm/load bucking issue below the 2,500-3,000 rpm's that alot of people have had, and I think A custom chip/tuner can fix this easy (why I now have a tweecerR/T).
