Anyone know how well the stock tires work in snow? 2010 Pirellis specifically, but will take feedback from any S197. I'm trying to decide whether or not I need to start saving up for winter tires. I only drive about 550 miles a month and it wouldn't be a daily thing, but need it to work in the snow so I don't get stuck at work at 1am. I already priced new tires and wheels at like 1500 bucks, so I'd definitely like to not spend that. I'm in Indiana so only need to worry about snow 10 times a year or less probably, not for 4-5 months straight. Thanks!

I went w/Blizzaks. Unbeatable in the snow. You can shave some money off your winter tire expenses by going to Craig's list (I did). Lots of people have snow tires left over from cars they no longer have. I bought new rims, but good 2nd hand ones are everywhere, too. You will need to buy sensors at about $40 per wheel, unless you are willing to look at messages in your dashboard all winter long.
