What's the difference between the 331 and 347 ?
The 331 has a 3.25" stroke crankshaft, the 347 has a 3.4" stroke crankshaft. There may be other differences, but that is the largest between the two.
Here's some reading... i choose a 331 myself.
The part about rod to stroke ratios makes me understand why people rarely seem to go bigger than 408 on a 351-based stroker.
Just a stroke difference between the two.
There are stock production motors that have worse rod to stroke ratios...anything over a 4-4.1" stroke makes pistons a challenge for clearance.
