I can't say enough about all the products I choose especially the guys at STS and CP Racing for doing such an awesome install & tune.....

The end result at the wheels was 423HP @ 5100rpm and 469TQ @ 4300rpm

  • Sponsors (?)

Since it just got finished a few days ago I've only had limited time in it. I can say the lag is almost undetectable because of the low-drop Active intercooler and well layed-out tubing by CP Racing. For now I've got a completely stock Explorer long block so to make it survive we're only running 7-8lbs of boost.

Once we get it to the track (or an empty road somewhere), I'll have a better chance to analize it...

Thanks,
DV

Sorry, I'm not sure what a PHB is?

If they do there's going to be some very unhappy sponsors :nonono:

PHB = Panhard Bar

I'm not thrilled about the stickers either, but i understand you need them for the sponsors. At least yours are legit, and not like some other guys that just slap them on to look sponsored.

Is that a street car? Track car? The tubing running through the car has got to make the interior warm on longer drives. I know the air has had some time to cool down, but it still.
Sweet set up! :nice:

Awesome car. I was hoping to see the production version of the mustang kits...yours is a little bit custom.

A friend of mine has an STS on his 00 Z28. Thing is wicked, virtually no lag.

Enjoy the car, don't let it sit in a garage too much...:)

Ha I havent seen those remote turbo idea since like back in mid-80's. Any lag??
They actually work pretty well. My buddies got a "home built" twin turbo rear mounted set up in his '82 GT and it rocks. Pretty clean too....the turbo's just sit in place of the stock mufflers. He tells me the lag is minimal and he's seeing boost by about 2,300rpm. He ran high-11's with 7psi and a stock '88 long block under the hood. He got a little greedy with the boost after that and after blowing 2-sets of head gaskets, he's now opted to go with a 351W this spring. Should be nuts. :D

I recall him telling me that he had just a hair over $3,000 into the whole turbo system. I've got almost twice that into my blower set up and I won't even come close to those numbers. :(

Just wait until you can crank up the boost...So how much boost could you run with forged parts?
Not really sure.... I see guys with real strong bottom-ends running well over 20lbs.... My goal with the help of Fox Lake is to see 800+ at the wheels....

Oh, OK.... That's a Kenny Brown bar. All our suspension comes from KB.... Really nice stuff... Nice Avitar BTW....

Nothing to write home about... It's so new I haven't had much time to work with it yet... Our first outing with the new set-up is in a couple of weeks.... I'll let everyone know how it work at full song....

Track-Drift only.... though I do take it on short street burst's every mid-night or so... Our events (similar to drag racing) are all very short so heats only an issue during practice.... Still not as hot as my stock cars though...

I checked there website and i dont see a kit for a 99-04 stang, did you have to have it all fabbed?
Yes, the guys at CP Racing in Charlotte built the pipes from Dr. Gas bends... STS doesn't have one for our cars yet (only 2005+) but if they get enough call for one, they said they will.... Drop them a note telling them you saw our car and that you'd be interested if they built one....

See above post..... Tell them you saw this car.... Yes their "kits" are super clean.... some of the best I've seen..... Lag is something of the past with a good enginered kit...

Thanks for the questions and the "props" Ya'll.... Just got a fresh shippment of Goodyears in..... This is gonna' be fun.....

Lag is almost non existant these days with a good kit, and STS has got it DOWN for rear turbos. I am SO glad to see STS on a Mustang finally, I have been emailing them and asking them about this all the time.

I have always been extremely interested in the rear mount design, once you get past the "wow that's gotta lag" feeling it's really a great idea.

Good job man :D
