Hey everyone how are yah? I'm new here, comming from the SRT-4, and LS1 world. I was looking into 03-04 Cobras, or an older Z06. But then I saw the new 07 Alloy colored Mustang GT I'm considering buying it some time soon. My last car had 450hp to the front wheels and was a capable mid 11 second car ( I only managed a low 12 ). When I get my new car, most likely the Mustang... I would like to get it near the power level I was at with my last one. From what I've gathered here in the past few days, the 4.6 motor comming in the new Mustang is capable of a reliable ~430hp day in and day out. Considering the weight of the vehicle and power band, would a good 12.2 @ 116 be managable? That's kind of what I see out of it but I have no experience. Anyone at the track with their supercharged 05+ Stangs in here? To the guys with more milage on theirs, how's everything holding up? Still enjoying the car? Any minor things to be concerned about? Thanks for your time
Here's an article on the Vortech Mustang with intercooler: http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/Features/articleId=106967 If you Google, you'll bring up the road test of the 410hp non-intercooled one too. Haven't been to the track yet but the car feels strong and no issues with my Vortech HO-equipped car.
