Susp Advice Please

I'm wondering how much will it cost to lower my Mach? I want to have a nice low stance but still be driveable as its my DD. I've heard any lower than 1" and you have to do struts and shocks as well. Correct? Also, I haven't searched too hard yet but all I find are V6, GT, and Cobra components. What springs etc. go best on the Mach 1s?

Thanks for any help you can give me. This and some window tint will just about eat my tax refund this year.
