Hi, sorry this is more of a v6 post, but a week later and no opinions so i'm going to the big boys.

I'm going to change the ATF in my T5 in the next few days just for my own piece of mind. Doing a quick search focusing on t5's and i see alot of people here in other forums saying either

a/ Synthetic ATF is a waste of time and money.
b/ Now my trans shifts like butter.

In my last car i put in mobil 1 synth ATF and day to day driving it was maybe slightly better, the only huge improvement was on really cold days it didn't feel like i was stiring up oatmeal, it felt normal immediately. Thats almost worth the price of admission for me right there.

Anyone here had any personal experience one way or another? I mean yes theres a cost difference but its honestly probably only going to be one time and only 3 litres worth.

Thanks

It smooths shifts out, just make sure they add friction mod if needed and DON'T if it's not needed. (depends on the brand)

I don't know about the T-5 but I know I've run just about every fluid possible with the 3650 to "un-quirk" it and a synthetic did the trick.
