synthetic oil question

I have an '07 GT with just 4100 miles, it sits a lot, so far have changed the oil twice. Thinking about switching to synthetic oil , is this a worthwhile move?

Also, if I do switch over, I assume there will still be some residual conventional oil in the engine, how does this mix with the synthetic? Do I have to change it several times in a short period to fully get the old oil completely gone?

It's a good idea to do it early. As far as the oil mixing goes...it doesn't matter .
It would be almost like a synthetic blend. But after a few oil changes it will be all out.

And yes if you ever want to go back to conventional oil you can it will not hurt.

Just change the oil. The Synthetic will last longer then the conventional so it's better if you let the car sit a lot to have it in the crankcase. Don't worry about mixing and draining you'll do fine with a simple change.
