I've heard a bunch of stuff on the oil issue. What are the recommendations from other SVT owners? Redline or Amsoil, or Royal Purple? What weight oil? The 0-20wt scares the hell out of me! Why so thin?? What about 10-30 or 15-40wt. Any facts or real science behind all of this?

    Thanks,

If you live in the South or a warm climate I suggest 5W30. Ford started recommending the 5W20 in 2003 in order to get their C.A.F.E. ratings up.

Redline and Amsoil are both good choices, I personally stay away from the purple colored snake oil myself....

Here are a couple links to posts by a Tribologist (oil expert) concerning oil and 03/04 Cobra's. I trust what this guy says!
