t-5 to t-56 swap (what do i need)

    What do i need to go from a t-5 trans to a t-56 trans??? do i need to change driveshafts, get the driveshaft cut, or just change the input shaft??? Can i use my same clutch or do i need one that is a different spline??? And lastly does anything need to be done to the crossmember like on a tko 500 or 600??? THANKS FOR ANY HELP:Track:

    new bell, new cross member, new linkage, not sure on the clutch. lots of threads on this over at corral. someone may chime in here, but I have seen complete write ups over there.

    My brother did this on his sn95. He used a kit from promotion powertrain out of Florida. You will need a bellhousing crossmember and a new yoke for your driveshaft which will have to be cut and rebalanced. He had a alum shaft made by promotion. The speed sensor on the T-56 is magnetic pick up style. The output is about 4 times higher then the gear driven sensor on his 95 was. The input and output shafts are not all the same on t-56s you will need to know what yours are to pick the right yoke and clutch disk.
