T-56 question

I posted this in svt tech as well but i figured maybe one of you guys could help .
I have a T56 from D&D that I bought and installed about a year or so ago . It needs the front bearing replaced , my question is I was told by D & D to not seperate the bellhousing from the tranny during the install ( when we 1st put the tranny in , we did take the bellhousing apart from the tranny because I have LT's and full size starter so space is sparce) . My question is what diffrence does it make??

i also got my T56 from D&D, they mentioned nothing about this...i also have Longtubes and a full size starter....you HAVE to disconnect the bellhousing from the tranny if you wanna get it in there with the motor in the car....had mine in the car for about a year now with no problems at all....it really shouldnt make a difference.
