T5 input shaft

I know it is not recomended, but I have a 4cyl T5 I am putting in a 87GT for a temp fix.

Can I put the GT input shaft on the 4cyl tranny or is there a differance in the input gearing?

The gears are different pitch and strength... I've used 4 cylinder t-5s before.. They don't last long. lol... Broke 5... Finally bought a tremec... I don't know if the gears would mesh right, but that gear is the 1:1 ratio, so it should be the same teeth.

I hope it's a very temporary fix. You don't even need to powershift to break one of those.
