I have destroyed may 2nd t5z behind a 475 horsepower 347 stroker. I would go tremec but autos launch much better at the track and besides the tko is around 1500 bucks. I have donar car with an aod that has been modded in the past to handle 450hp. Has anyone here done this swapp from a t5 to an aod or c4 . Some questions I need help on please.
Will i have to change from my a9L 5spd computer to an aod unit?
Will i need to use the tv linkage on the throttle body since i don't really mind manual downshifting.
And finally will the aod flexplate tolerate that much power.?
I turned up a notch from my previous setup that had a powerdyne blower to run naturaly aspirated. If the swap can't be done i will sale the car with a machine shop built 5000 dollar engine with only 300 miles on it plus 600 in support parts plus the other car for 5000 takes all. Email if interested I have to many kids and break to many manual t5s Sorry my other half made me add the last few lines.
