This pertains to any of you w/ a 79-86 Mustang with the little "information" screen located in the center console. Every time I hit the brakes the brake light comes on in it. Right before Xmas I was driving home at night and noticed the brake light come on when the brakes were applied. Had my dad look at it and he said they worked. Then last week driving at night, it read the tailight was out along with the brake light, and sure enough they were. I had just recently replaced the tailight/brake bulb. The old one was all black, looked like it burned up bad. But still with a new bulb, the damn brake like comes on in the console, but the tailight/brakelight work fine. FYI, it happens to be the driver's side rear bulb, which I had allready replaced before this started to happen. What should I check/fix so I don't keep on burning up bulbs?
