TB spacer

ive been looking for a TB Spacer for a 99GT ive seen them for older 5 liters and newer V6s but i never found one for a 99GT just recently i found a spacer made by Airaid its for a 03 GT now i wanted to know if i could use that spacer on my 99GT being that its the same engine as the 03 u know the SOHC and liter size. heres a link if anyone could tell me that it can or cannot fit that would be great thanks.

I've never heard of a spacer for the newer cars. The spacer for the old 5.0 was for the EGR valve. People used to buy the spacer to match the T/B. I don't really think it's going to give you any gains...IMHO.

it will fit ,but they only fit the stock TB opening , you will see more performance from a plenum and bigger TB .....IMO

- and $80 bucks(!) for a spacer is outrageous. Add a bit more money and get a plenum, which essentially has a built in spacer.

Yeah those TB spacers only work for the stock TB. You'd be better off getting the Plenum (Accufab or C&L). RPM has one also here

not the airaid the guy is talking about , it is an actual spacer that goes between the plenum and TB , numerous places make PLENUM SPACERS but this one is a TB spacer , plenum spacers can be bought at www.mustangtuning.com for about $37 bucks

Yea, I wouldn't bother with a TB spacer.

Plenum spacer isn't a noticable SOTP gain but is the only thing I'd add a spacer to if you can find one for cheap, or make your own.

Well 13 RWHP is not bad for a plenum spacer, go look in the magazine.

You would think you could trust there data, maybe not

I'm thinking more like 2-3rwhp on an N/A car.

13rwhp would be believable on a blown car, sure.

It's always better to have a 3rd party dyno products and post results, since they tend to be less biased and more accurate with the results.

Oh crap - I had it wrong...I thought we were talking about a plenum spacer. But on this one. Adjusting the downward height of the plenum has been shown to work, but I can't see how a TB spacer would generate any measurable gain.

Blieve what you want, the only wat to truely know is try it.......

I know for FACT the spacer between the TB and plenum don't work......... (tried it)

I plan on buying the plenum spacer and seeing if my 1/4 improves since my GT is a Bracket car (read consistent)
