I'll let you know in a few months I'm dropping it in on Saturday. I'm hoping for 375 at the crank, but that could be optimistic.
im no pro but id think thats very possible....i've seen people with similar combos put 325 to the wheel...so 375 at the fly is definately attainable...
Yeah, I'm hoping...I put in a lot of time on the heads - the valves have been back cut, hand lapped, and they've had a professional port job. It may be possible to get up to 400 HP at the crank, but I'll be trhilled with 375
update: i've got her in and most of the kinks are worked out... she goes for a chip and a dyno tune this saturday, can't wait!! here she is: jim
indeed they are...i love them, only regret is to go wider on the rear tire...wanna go to a 275 in the rear instead of the 245...
Your car keeps looking more and more like Rons car, even down to the motor now. LOL Our cars should be a close race.
im hoping for a 13...ron ran a 13.2 and i have more port work and higher flowing heads than him so well see what she runs at the track...im bringing it for a dyno tune saturday so after that ill be going to the track...
Nice engine guys. Equal lengths do make it harder to change spark plugs. I have also looked at many foxes with them. There frame rails were rotted out. I have read and heard and talked to guys that said the heat is too much for the metal there.
Rons best is a 13.3, and he's got nasty compression, his motor has gone 13.1 in Ashers car. Hopefully the guy thats tuning your car will be able to get it better than Ron got.
Nice looking engine and nice clean engine bay. Nice looking car too... mine's the same color. Let us know what kind of #'s you put down...
going tomorrow morning for my chip and tune....numbers to follow probably sunday or monday....wish me luck
