I got my gas tank replaced last night and I didnt think it went to well. They pulled my car into a bay where about 75 pound bag of kitty litter was on the floor. They drove right over it and got it up in the air. They had to unbolt the exhaust and then threw it onto the floor. Yes the floor with all the grease filled kitty litter. I started to get a little upset. Then they also proceeded to throw the other two black frame parts onto the floor as well. Didnt set them down, they tossed them at about waist high. Then the service tech came by and said that the guy didnt like me watching me telling me he was an intravert?? WTF I told him he is throwing my s*** around and I didnt appreciate it. He didnt do anything. I dont care what he is they are throwing parts around on my stang. I just wondered if something like this is normal? Then I also had part of the dugout in my floorboard as well. I didnt want them to clean it up cause they might scratch my ride. I had to get out of there. I just hope they dont put some greased up guy in there to fix my vert top. What do you guys think?
It's not recall it's a TSB. If I were you I would be all over the service manager. I watch everytime my car is in the shop. If they don't like it I will take my car somewhere else. They should have cleaned the interior of your car! You should get it back the same way you brought it in. Do not let them get away with that crap!
My car will have a custom paint job when we finish it. If my dealer where I take my car for oil change or anything else that could go wrong with it. mess it up in any way what so ever, will pay alot of money for a custom job. I would have asked to speek to the highest person incharge or the owner. And I would'nt have let place with out pictures to back up my claim. Sorry to here what happen to you, Not all dealers are that way. most take pride in there work and apearance. You just seem to have taken your car to the wrong dealer. Acctually my dealer has always been very professional on the way they do business.
No excuses for the way they treated you and your brand new car. If I were you, I would shoot a letter to the BBB (Better Business Bureau) and describe how they tossed your parts around. The BBB should be able to start a complaint file on this dealer (they probably already have one open) and cc. your letter to the general manager of the dealer.
Thanks for the input guys. I have bought several vehicles from this dealership and the owner/decision maker wasnt there that day but I plan on giving him a call and letting him know what kind of survey he will be getting if they decide to mail me a customer survey.
