I didnt know if there were any gurus in here that use laptops to tune or diagnose vehicles at all. I have been looking into myself. I hear that they work great in unison with my auto X-ray scanner. I have a '97 and '01 that need some work. Anybody have any really good input on this matter? Looking the cheapest laptop availavble that will still suit all the purposes I need.

I bought a Dell C610 on eBay for $200. I originally wanted it just for my Tweecer, but I ended up using it for pretty much daily stuff. For the most part as a minumum you should have a P3, 1000, with at least 512 and you should be fine. This one is a P3, 1200, with 512 and it works great. I use it with my wireless card for internet, and it never has any issues online or when using the Tweecer.

Dell C610 laptops were common for companies, and you can find them refurb on ebay for around $200 all day long.
