things not lining up (front bumper support mounting) --Pics--

ok so ive looked for a long time for pics but i cant find anything. i took my bumper cover off and it looks like those are mounts. but they dont line up.

the car didnt have the bumper support when i got it, so i bought a bumper from some guy on craigslist.

can you guys tell if im missing mounts or something cuz its lining up really weird. i seen some with the the gas filled bumper shock thing, but it looked like there was something bolted o the front of these plate things.

i got it all screwed on and the bumper was offset cuz the way they bolted on.
red line is what they bolted to, and blue line is the open hole

It's not lining up cause someone has removed the bumper shocks that bolt to the fiberglass and the metal.See what i'm talking about! peace

wow thanks for the pic i couldnt find anything like that.

but see how where i would put brackets how its got the extra metal and its sticking way out? i cant find the hole that the bolt goes in to bolt the shock thing in either.

what year is yours?

this is mine on my 1993 car. think they changed it to the bolt on after 1989.

thanks for the pic, yea your looks just like mine, and thanks, how do you guys find all these diagrams and stuff! i couldnt find anything. thanks tho, ill check pick a part for those bumper shocks.

Mine is an 89 and it actually bolted threw the frame rail?If i remember right? peace
