Jenn, this morning i something happened to me that i know you would be proud of my little bit of shame.
So i'm drivin my 6 year old to school in the stang, mind it that he loves my stang and knows that some day it will be his, and this gray TA with a set of loud pipes and a lowering kit goes screaming by while i'm waiting to cross the main road to the school.

    My kid in his infinite wisdom says this, "Wow Dad, after you teach me how to drive your mustang, i want one of those, COOL!":( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :(

I'm thinking of disowning him now, while adoption is still a viable solution! JK

My comeback to your son's comment, "Want one what?"..."That's odd, I heard or saw nothing go flying past."

That's awesome, DMax. :D Give the little dude a head noogie and tell him they are indeed cool. :hail2:

That made my morning. :nice: Don't feel bad, PaPa. My little dude has this thing for imports. :nonono: I have to help him embrace his preferences, though. :p

Everyone has to start somewhere. Starting with the Stang is like riding a bike with training wheels. BBBuuuuuuuwwwwwaaaahahahahahahahahahaha JK

Aw do I have to make a new thread Jenn?

Here. Link just for you. His is a black Z28 Camaro (the one filming) so you cant see it in the vid. And take note, here in NM the altitude kicks our butts.

Now please take this with no offense and allow me the opportunity to "process think" out loud but a buddy of mine from a club in CA is running the following set-up:

    2002 Camaro SS black/black
    MS3 cam, longtubes, 4400 stall, 4.10's, bogarts
    11.04/123/1.53 cam-only
    Race weight 3375

Here is his run from 9-21-07 - Bad quality and at a NMRA Test and Tune Event (where these things should happen  ).....Anywhoooooooo... To get to 380 with a LS1 you have to swap cams. Most the cam profiles to accomlish this will be wickdly loud on lobe. I can't hear the LS1 in that video. All I hear is the TA.

He has true duals on his Z28 (used to have electronic cut outs). This Camaro is LOOOUUUUD! His cam was the first one built like it and it was installed by the best guys IMO down in Lubbock. His time on motor was 12.006 or something like that. I forgot what his nitrous run was though... Again, this is in New Mexico so the altitude effects A LOT.

And I know its a street race but it wasnt me...so

EDIT: He was on street tires. 315s on Z06 wheels.

He left that T/A once he hit 2nd! That was a fast car indeed!
Near the very beginning of that clip, I noticed the T/A pushing the front tire. Can we say the front tires don't grip that well being skinnies?
Definitely not smart running like that on publc roads, esp when other cars are out there(one drove up the intersecting road):nonono: Sure am glad I'm not that dee dee dee anymore.

Completely agree with ya kooldawg. In his defense though that part of town sees nothin all night (except those two other cars pretty much haha) and it was at about 1am on a Saturday. And our only track in town is closed... But, I do agree with you.

I hear ya pliskin, but unfortunately it only takes one mistake(after riding a motorcycle, I now understand how little things add up quickly to a big thing)and one bystander to casue a terrible tragedy.
    Be safe and enjoy.
