Ive wanted one of these since i was 15 and now that im fixin to graduate college im getting one, i want to get one that needs a little work so i can partially restore it myself http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1972...74QQihZ004QQcategoryZ6164QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
My uncle has a 70 with a 454, fully restored. Car is SICK. Only option his car doesn't have is the cowl hood.
Nice choice man, definatly one of the most in-your-face cars made back in the day. Id have NO shame driving that although im mainly a Ford guy.
If you like to actually drive, buy a sports car. Old school muscle cars aren't good for much besides lookin cool and being loud. Just my .02
I disagree this car is very beautiful.... it's an old car that is still very streetable even though it has a 427 i think at one point he was driving it every day. This is my friends website he's actually opening a garage, but these are all his car... he just keeps adding and adding http://hotroddreams.com/
My buddy gots a 67 Chevelle fully restored but supports a 502ci 502 hp motor....Freakin Sick...This is the best Chevelle I have ever seen...he paid 32k for it...Ill try and take some pics this week and post them up... He also has another 67 Chevelle in which he himself is going to restore...Hes about to put a LS7 with the 6 speed 6L80E transmission in it...This is going to be his cruiser...The 502 is just to much LOL
yea i love those things, and believe me it wouldnt be a dd by any measure, just a car ive wanted for a looong time Every time i watch dazed and confused i just stare at the black chevelle that one dude drives
I say go for it. I'd never give up having a stang for a chevelle, but I've always loved them and wouldn't mind having one in addition to the stang.
Depending on what you want, you could easily build that Chevelle to handle like a dream. And if you really wanted it to be a dependable DD....all you gotta do is drop in a more modern powertrain, especially something Fuel Injected. Might not be cheap, but its been done many times. Chevelles are sweet as hell. I like almost any late 60's' early 70's muscle car. If I ever could buy one, I'm not sure I'd be able to choose.
Chevelle's are easy to drive everday, screw fuel injection, carbs work great. Now braking, if it's the 4 wheel drum brakes, takes a lil getting used to. But all the slight problems are easy to correct, power disk brakes and a lil firming up of the suspension and they are great cars.
