I talked to Stan at FPA. He said that his stepped headers fit the TCP rack and the Randall's rack for sure. However, I am using a stock MII rack in my car. He is unsure if the FPA headers will fit. Unfortunately, he doesnt have any scrap headers laying around that he can send me to see if they will clear my steering shaft.

So, I am calling on fellow stangnetter's (and other sites if you all will spread the word). If any of you have FPA headers, I have an offer on the table. This would mostly benefit those of you that have ordered and not installed them yet...or those of you that do your own work and want to make a little extra money.

I am asking that someone send me (at my expense) their driver's side header so I can mock it up in my engine bay with my steering shaft and my 'mock' 302. I just need it for 5 minutes. No worrying about getting it scratched, I will take great care of it, and I have plenty of room in my engine bay. I can ship it back to you the day that I get it. I am offering $75 plus shipping both ways plus a used msd 6a ignition box.

I just want to be 100% sure that the next set of headers I order will fit. This is the ONLY way that I can be 100% sure. I will give you all of my phone numbers, work numbers, address, DL number if you need it...etc....just so you know I am not trying to scam anyone.

I am in GA. If anyone is in this state, I can meet you.

Anyone out there want to take advantage of this offer?

I dont think they would help either. At this point, it looks like I am ordering some long tubes..uncoated...and crossing my fingers. If they dont fit, it will be cheaper for me to pay someone to modify them than it would be to pay what I was offering to pay/trade for a test fit.

If they don't fit you could always eBay them, unused.

Just a thought, I don't know what the market might be.

Wish I could help ya, but I'm too poor to afford FPA stuff :D
