The money I do have saved I would like to put towards performance parts not a bumper. id rather just clean mine up and make it look good myself. wish I could find color matching paint in this city but I thought black might look clean and make the car look mean but not sure. wish I could find some pics of what to expect

IMHO, a black bumper on a blue everything else would look pretty uncool. But its your car your oppinion and your likes.

A gloss black bumper would make it look like you replaced the bumper and did not paint it at all. My 0.02. Unless you tried to tie it together by extending some kind of large black graphic over the rest of the front end. I.E. flame shapes that extend over the hood and front bumpers.

Didn't say it was a good thing but if you want to try to tie in a color on one piece of the car that is a completely different color than the rest of the car, you might want to extend it to some other panels. Some cars, especially hotrods, look great with contrasting colors in a flame job.

Hey, people do silly sh#t to cars all the time. Do you think painting just the bumper black on a blue car is really that great of an idea?

I need a full paint job myself. The drivers door had to be resprayed twice due to car break ins. My rear bumper is cracked and the front bumper is pocked marked from years of daily driving. When it becomes a garage queen, Ill give it a full spray and replace the bumpers. As long as I am driving in the hostile conditions of this city, she's gona stay a little on the rough side.

Sucks about the mismatch. You could put a LeBra on it too. I don't care for them but a lot of people put them on our years of Mustang.

It had a bra on it when I bought it and when I took it off it looked terrible, full of rock chips so I attempted to fix it myself. and after sand paper, getting color match paint mixed up and trial and error it still doesn't look good and I wasted about 150 dollars hah

Does the bumper need clear coat? Maybe that would help it blend better?

uggh I sprayed clear on it and it made it look way to glossy and like ****, would have looked better without the clear. I will try color sanding it once it cures a bit and if that doesn't work out im just leaving it alone until my build is complete then getting the whole car sprayed. That or buy a newbumper or a cobra bumper... not sure yet... I really like the look of the cobra bumper but with my luck the fitment wont be great.. also love the look of the mach 1 and I already have the chin spoiler brand new so may just go that route

If you take it up to an O'reilly's they can usually match the color for you and make the paint. At least the one I worked at could, and it was in a small town.

Don't paint just the front bumper black, if you're going to do that you might as well just buy a front bumper bra and leave it on forever
