I have a 2003 GT stick and it has noticable throttle lag. It is most noticable in neutral. You hit the gas and there is hesitation. It is there when driving as well. The car has 8K miles on it and can be a bit annoying.

Has anyone on this board experienced this?

"screw on the t/b to hold the butterfly open a little more"?

Can you expand on this for a noob like me?

on the throttle body, near the cable linkage, there is a screw that is used as a bump stop to prevent the t/b from completely closing. lucky for you, i just happen to have my old t/b laying around. see pic. just adjust that screw to push to the left more.

I wouldnt touch that screw. If you open your throttle body butterfly too much, the IAC will have to correct the idle. It will burn out her IAC a lot quicker.

5 years and no problems whatsoever here. i turned mine about 2-3 revolutions.
