Throttle question

I think a tune will immediatly solve this, but i just want to make sure. It seems like my car has half the power it's suppose to have until 2200 or so rpm, then it feels really peppy and nice. Whenever i'm shifting and i hit below 2000, it just seems sluggish. Anyone else experience this? Or do i need to take it in.

The ECU adapts to your driving habits in order to maximize fuel economy and minimize emissions. So if you drive conservatively, then the car will feel sluggish. If you drive aggressively, then it will be peppier(Note: It takes the ECU approx. 50 miles of engine running time to adapt to your driving habits.)
Also, hot weather and higher elevations reduce engine power output.

See if doing the following helps to perk up your car:
- Disconnect the battery's negative cable for 10 seconds, and then reconnect it.
-Turn the key to the ON position(not the ACC position, and do not start the engine), and wait for the dash warning lights to go out and the chime to stop.
- Press the gas pedal all the way down in one smooth motion(approx. 2-3 seconds to hit the floor).
- Quickly release the gas pedal as soon as it hits the floor.
- Turn the ignition to the OFF position, and wait 5 seconds.
- Start the engine normally, and drive.
