to make a long story short, i was getting ready to leave for a 3 hour trip in my car on sunday, got about 20 miles out and my throw out bearing locked up... I ended up driving the car home (without using the clutch) buying a new bearing, taking it to the garage that has a lift.. dropping the tranny and replacing it all and then starting back on my trip again.. all said and done.. i was about 5 hours late to my destination. nothing like an impromptu tranny drop!
