recently i came across a car salesroom near mine that sells allsorts of import cars, usually japanese but some americans pop up from time to time. anyway i took my girlfriend down there the other day and a salesman asked us if we were looking for anything in particular, me being me i told him i was looking for an american car, a mustang if he has one. he led me along to the back of the warehouse unit, only for me to find an immaculate 1995 5.0 sn95. long story short i told him i could never insure it, he gave me the details of an insurance company and the details of the car and told me to give them a call. turns out if i bought the 5.0 i could actually save nearly 40 pounds on insurance if i switch to the mustang, seeing as im an enthusiast (they give discounts on forums and car clubs). i went back today to discuss the car but it has been sold, so instead im looking for either the last shape mustang (99-04) or the sn95 shape V6 mustang as my 1st stang. anyone know of where i can get hold of one in the UK? im seriously concidering a mustang as my 3rd car. i cant insure it till im 19 in 6 months, so you could say im after a price range, or any issues with the V6 mustang. anyone have any issues i should be aware of?
if you are after a mustang in 6 months time gimmie a buzz and i should be able to help you out (imstarting to import some very soon) and will hopefully be ordering a V6 SN95 very soon which will be for sale shortly! good luck with the hunt Si
i have found a 2000 model V6 mustang imported in 2004 black manual V6 with grey interior (my idea of a perfect 1st mustang) for 4650. u think you could get one for round about the same price?
its a year 2000 model, imported into this country in 2004. although it is advertised as a 2004 on the autotrader website.
avoid the 94 and 95 V6 - they have head gasket issues.. look in the drivers door jamb, there should be a little sticker, on the top right corner of the sticker it should have a manuf. date. dont touch anyhing pre 10/95 as thats the earliest build date i've seen for the revised car with the head gasket issues sorted. 10/95 will actualy be a 96 model car, as the americans start the next model year about 1/2 - 3/4 the way along the build year, so a 10/95 build is a 96 model car.. i have a 96 V6 - i love it, fantastic car. looks more than £4000 worth!
picked my 1st stang up 2day, its a 1998 cobra (as shown in banana hammock OT forum) black with chrome wheels and black leather interior. the offer was wayyyy too good to miss
