I just put an E cam in with 1.7 rockers and im putting the GT40 X303 aluminum heads on with GT40 upper and lower intakes. My question is, I bought a new FMS timing chain set and it has adjustable notches for the small sprocket that goes on the crank to either advance or retard the cam in degree increments of 2. I plugged my setup into desktop dyno, and found that by retarding my cam my hp and tq would become closer together in numbers. (hp going up, tq going down), So I was wondering if really works because I got exactly 376 hp AND tq with my cam retarded 6 degrees. Or should I just leave it alone?
