Timing Chain Question

I am putting a 96 Explorer engine in my 95 mustang. I have been looking up timing chain parts, and have found a conflict in that Advance Auto parts is saying the 96 5.0 and 95 5.0 do not use the same timing chain.

Since I am putting this in the Mustang with a mustang cam, do I get the timing chain for a 95 mustang, or the 96 explorer?

Thanks,

Keith

Kurt,

Thanks. I just ordered a Sealed Power Timing set (double roller) part number KT3-163SA1.

For what it's worth, it says it works for both the mustang and the Explorer.

This is just an assumption, but I think the reason the stock timing chains were showing differently was because in 95 they had the distributor and in 96 it was distributorless.

I think changing the gears and chain to an after market made them both the same. (just guessing though, nothing to back it up)
