Timing cover need advice ASAP

I need to fix my leaking timing cover tonight if at all possible, but it's too late to pull the harmonic balancer (and I don't have an impact gun here anyways); think I can get it off far enough without taking the balancer off? I'm just gonna use that "Right Stuff" gasket maker made by permatex . . .

I was gonna say, that things gotta come off and put on the bench to scrape the old gasket. be prepared for an oil pan leak too...use silicone in that area upon re assembly
