I was looking to get your input on where you set your timing. Those of you that have advanced their timing, how far have you gone on it? Did you notice a power or fuel mileage increase? It sounds like this could possibly be a good free way to make a few extra ponies.Thanks.

you need a timing light and to make the most of it you should always run premium fuel when/after you do this.

fill you tank with 93octane (or highest available), and turn the dizzy and bump the timing up to about 14*. if there is still no detonation try 16*. at the slightest hint of ping back off the timing 2 degrees and have fun.

FWIW most stock stangs like around 12*-14* but you won't know what's best for you until you try.
