What should my tire pressure be for everyday driving on the street? I have 18x9 rims with 275/35-18 at all four corners. The sticker in my glove box says 30psi front and rear, but that's for the stock 17x8 with 245/45-17. What's everyone running in their 18s??

    Thanks,
    WES

The sidewall says max press is 44psi, but that's the maximum not necessarily the proper psi for every vehicle, right? Besides 44 psi would be an insanely harsh ride in a Mustang I would think.

Thanks for the replies 1990StangLX, but I was thinking I'd actually have to put less pressure than the OEM recommended 30psi because of the lower profile/stiffer sidewall of the 18" tire. Does that sound right?? Or am I just confused? How much psi are you guys with 18s running in you tires?

i see what you mean, but my thoughts were since you have a lower profile you'd have to add more air to keep that sidewall really stiff and prevent any possibility of rollover

I run my 275s on the rear at 35-36PSI. The smaller BFGs on the front have such a low profile I run them at 38PSI.

Thanls for all the replies evryone. I guess I was wrong then....lower profile means more air pressure, right?

I don't have any pics that are small enough for stangnet....whenever I post a pic I have to reduce it's size. I'm running out the door now for a weekend trip so I'll post some when I return.
