I want to go with 245/45/17's in the front on my 2003 Cobra. Has anyone done this? I just think it would make the back tires look less anemic. Would these tires have any problem fitting my factory rims? I believe they are 17X9 so I don't see why not. Any help or input is appreciated.

Personally, I would upgrade the rears. When I had my '99, I put a pair of 275 40's on the rear that were at my local tire shop to see what they would look like. It looked bad from the rear, but only OK from the side. The 245's are fairly puny.

Although I haven't done this yet, I would think that lowering your Snake would have the same effect as increasing your tire size, as far as looks go. The 275's never looked small on the Trans Am or Z28. The ride height and, to a lesser extent, body shape of the Mustang contribute most the their appearance, IMHO.
