Hey all I have a `99 cobra convertible and I was told to polish and port the upper and lower intake for more horsepower. Is this true and is it worth the money? Would love to hear your expert advice.on this subject. By the way I just put a magnaflow catback system on my car and man does it sound awsome.I try to put a sound clip on here soon. I cant think of a better sounding exhaust then magnaflow also with the prochamber x pipe.

thanks hope to hear from someone soon.:nice:

If your car had the recall done, Ford did it for you. Part of the recall was extrude honing the intake.

If I remember correctly only the first 200 were extrude honed the rest were acid dipped. My guess is that there is still some hp to be had by working the intake. There was a guy in California that was doing intake work on 99 and 01s and folks were picking up 12 -15 rwhp using his manifolds.
