TOB problem?

When the car is cold everything runs smoothly. But after I drive around for maybe 5 minutes I hear a high pitched squeaking noise if I don't have the clutch engaged. Wehn I push in the clutch a little it doesn't squeak anymore. Also when I get the car up to around 2000rpms, i hear a rattlish sound. Once I get past 2000 that stops. Its coming from somewhere in my bellhousing/tranny area. Throwout bearing????

Yes, it is most likly the throwout bearing, possibliy the piolt bearing due to the fact of the vibration.

while im in there i may as well do both. Its a pain in the ass takin all that **** out

I agree about the TOB. Have a spare steel input shaft bearing retainer handy too.

Awhile back my tranny started makin alot of nosie underload, Sorta like a rattling nosie, New Clutch +TOB and it was gone, the TOB was pretty much siezed up, Go ahead and change it out, sounds like that it what it is.

Sure is the TOB...check your clutch while you are in there...like mentioned before, taking all that chit out is a PITA!
