I heard if you mix a little tolulean in your gas...that it takes off 2 10ths of a second off ur 1/8 or 1/4 time...people say to get it from a hardware store...but wouldn't this crap just **** ur engine up? Thats what im thinking...

How bout this...there is a little bit in chloraseptic throat spray. :shrug:
We use it at work in the lab but I couldnt see dumping some in my gas tank.
Ill ask the chemist at work about this one.
 
Toluene [or toluol]is used in octane boost. It won't make any differance in HP unless your engine calls for a higher octane fuel, ie:advanced timing,high compression. Otherwise using an octane booster in a stock engine will yield no gains.
To make octane boost use:
1) 100oz toluene [octane booster]
2) 25oz diesel fuel [cleaner]
3) 3oz transmision fluid (lubricant]
I don't think it would be wise to use this in newer cars as it may ruin the oxygen sensors.
