Tommy Smith,Producer of Stan & Haney show killed in bike accident

    This just hurts man.I have listened to these guys almost every day for 2 years.And now this happens.It's not going to be the same without him.For those of you who don't know,Tom Smith is part of the radio personality of 96.1 K.rock on the Stan & Haney show in SW Florida.

    I can't beleive he blew through a red light.I wonder if he either thought he could beat the light or it turned red just a couple seconds before he went through.And you got those impulse drivers who step on it the moment the light turns green.Poor guy.He will be missed

    mistakes on bikes are much less forgiving. gotta be extra cautious. i wonder what kind of bike it was.

    I see people blowing through red lights on a daily basis. If thats what he did, then those are the consequences. He did'nt seem to concerned with stopping.

    Woa, I've got a buddy named Tommy Smith. Pretty sure it's not the same one though. Got drunk with him last night.

    He was the producer of the Stan & Haney show.The show runs from 2pm - 6pm M-F.And you can listen to it on 96.1 FM in SW Florida or just go to their website (In the first post above,it says OpenDNS for some reason..but thats the link).They have a 24hr live stream on there.They have been around for many years (maybe 10).

    It's mainly open discussion talk radio.IMO these guys are really funny.They run all sorts of skits and small games people can call in and play to win stuff.Tommy also joined in on most of the discussions and did his hourly traffic report.He was know as Tommy "Trafficante" Smith.I liked the way he did his traffic reports.They played a funky version of the "Chips" theme music while doing the report.He always added a good ammount of humor to it and made it seem a lot less of a drag to hear about (some accident or road blockage).Theres NO replacing this guy.Just wont be the same without him.
