Ok, Chris aka CManT1914 came over today to help. Got the car started and out of the garage and ready to drive. Took it for a spin up and down our county road. It drove awesome but when I took a turn I heard a pop and the steering started to act funny. At first I thought it was just low on steering fluid then when i get it back home chris started to add fluid. Then I noticed a very large puddle of fluid under the car. At first I thought it was just one of the rubber lines but once i got under my car i saw it was pouring from under the rack. Took a closer look and I saw the rack had a hair line crack and was just pouring out fluid. So my dod on his way over went to autozone and got a new one for $100. But now I have to lift the engine to clear the rack so I can slide it off. Just one more thing to do now. :(

But damn, it drove so nice and smooth and it moves :D

Well Brandon, at least yours idles decently. After we bumped up my fuel pressure and reset my timing, that damn idle surge came back. It's not real bad, but it sounds gay with the car sitting there and surging all the time, and it's really irritating. I think I need to adjust my TPS, it's reading 1.17 at idle (cus I had modified it before I had the twEECer). So maybe if I set that back to .99 or so at 850rpms, it won't surge as much. It's always something huh?! lol

I had to get you guys scared.

I have a forged crank and if I broke it I would probably cry.

I just got done replacing the rack with an autozone rebuilt one for $100 then they had a $85 core that my buddy there will take my broken one as a core.

I will see how the az rack is. It says ford on it and the arms on the rack are really stiff compared to the old one that are really limp. Now i'm going to finish up some little stuff tomorrow then take it for a spin and fill it up with gas.

It's from a V-6 with 117K on it. Im trying my best to go easy on this one, but I don't know how long that can last. :D

As long as I don't get in any more race's with LS1's, I think it'll last until winter. :p
