As the title suggests, im thinking of doing an even trade with a dealership for a 99 Cobra that they have listed @ $14,950. The cobra is bone stock i think with black/black leather and has 45k miles on the car. And my car is black/black leather 5speed with 47k miles on the car.

Is it worth trading my daily driver GT in for this soon-to-be my daily driver cobra? I know the 99 cobra's had that "fix" problem, but i was just wondering if its even worth the trade. my GT mods are in my sig and i would probably remove some or most of them before i did the trade. Just wanted some input from you SVT guys.

I realize the dealer is getting a better trade out of the deal, as he can turn around and sell my GT for more htan the cobra is worth...is there anyway i can get them to pay ME to take the cobra? :D

What do STOCK 99 Cobras run at the 1/4?

The 99 Cobras still use the T-45 right? :(

If there willing to trade you i would go for it you won't regret it .im not exactly sure what the quarter mile time is for a stock 99 but the 01's ran about 13.8 stock. The 99's did have the t-45 transmission yet and also do have traction control.

yeah well even though i haven't brought my car to the track yet, people are tellin my i'll pull a 13.8 and maybe even a 13.6 with my GT and mods now....

Thats all skeptical of course, but i thought the 99/01cobras ran a 13.5-ish??

the 99 cobra is very hard to launch at the track and times vary
    I could only run a 14 flat at 100 mph with 281rwhp
    nice car though :)

I would go with the Cobra I had to make the same choice wether to go with a GT or Cobra and along with the killer deal I got I figured that the Cobra has way more potental then the gt does having the 4 v motor

stock for stock with even drivers the cobra will be the GT everytime. i bet even with your mods, the stock cobra would win at middle to end of 3rd gear it'd pass.
I just don't like how the back bumper says mustang but it's got cobras on the fenders. i'd keep your rims and tires as part of the deal maybe and give them the 99's for the 02 GT.

actually i have my stock bullit rims. i will be putting them back on the GT and keeping both the new SVT rims on the 99 Cobra, as well as my chrome cobra R wheels :)

But i have to get hte car 1st...

Im starting to worry about registering this thing and how that would work her ein jersey, even IF i can do the even swap trade...
