would you guys trade this car...My 2003 GT...slowly progressing - Page 2 - Corral Forums for a 1996-98 Cobra? Jared
I would have to say yes. Only if it is in extremely good condition though. From what I have seen lately there are plenty of solid looking aero cobras around.
hadn't thought about that...this is why I asked to get good feedback. My car is 6 years old, not ancient by any stretch. I want a 4V though, but I like the 99-04 body style. 99,01 Cobras seem hard to come by and I know I cant afford an 03-04 at the moment...hmmm...
I just purchased a 97 cobra. The od shows 98K but the speedo was never corrected for the 410's so it's prob closer to 80 than 100. it had a shifter, 410s, c&l, flowmasters and shot tires an minor paint problems. I paid $5K for it. I wanted a 4V but was also interested in the 99 up gt's. the best price I found on one was 7500 an it had a lot more miles than the cobra on it. I found a 99 cobra vert for $8400, he said the lowest he could go was $8K, which was more than I wanted to spend on a toy. It had ugly wheels an some ugly stickers on the hood. I guess I'm saying the deals are out there.
Don't overlook the private sale Mach 1's. I see them being sold right and left for $12K-$13K with less than 50K miles, some alot less, and of course most already have the most basic bolt-ons and some have more. Hell one guy bought his 9,200 mile Mach for $14K!! Are you telling me that is'nt a steal? Just another avenue to look into.
I would if the Cobra is as clean as yours and doesn't have any more miles then you have now. The 96 to 98 cobras are pretty sick. Lower them and put some wheels on them and they are mean looking. They also love boost. A boosted 4v eats a 2v.
