2001 Saleen, Cobra motor, t-56 trans.

Scenerio:
Just installed a D&D Motorsport Turbluar K-member(2001), as far as I know, its a stock replacment and doesnt move the motor foward or back, and the motor still seems to be in the same spot at before the install(stock location). I did not remove the motor for the swap, only held it up with chains. During install, the tranny was removed because it went BOOM. The new tranny is here from D&D Performance and bolted up flawless, its a T-56 from a 03-04 cobra. The new trans is a Tremec casing, the old one was a Ford casing(Keep that in mind)

Problem:
The shifter, Pro 5.0, which is bolted to the tranny during install, is now 1/2 inch too far foward, and is hiting the trans tunnel. The other mis-alignment is the Trans Mount/Bracket. Its 1/2 inch too far BACK, and the bolts will not line up.

The same bell housing is being used, the same shifter is being used, the same trans mount it being used.

Are there different measurments from the Tremec casing to the Ford Casing? If the K-member did in fact move the motor foward, why are the trans mount bolts too far back?
