I was under the car today trying to find the source of a loud rattling noise. I found that one of my header to xpipe bolts was very loose. I tightened it, but then detected another sound. I traced this to the metal piece, whatever it's called, that holds the adjuster cable for the clutch. This thing vibrates up and down when the car is on. Under acceleration it sounds like it hits somewhere (probably on the little opening where it comes from inside the bellhousing).

My question is, does it need to be tightened somehow, and is it an easy job to get in there? What would I need to do? Thanks.

my first question is this, does the clutch feel good to you, does it release where you think it should?if it does leave it,if not, tighten the cable.if it feels good to you,i would get some ribber hous and split it down one side and slide it over the edges of the opening,or the edges of the fork.they are not supposed to be tight, they will have a little play.
