I had noodled on installing headers on my 1970 convertible Mustang -Boss 302 clone - for the past 12 months. Having installed headers on a couple big block cars as a teen I has some reservations (and spent a couple days pulling out the engine). I got tired of looking at the rusty exhaust manifolds so I made the leap. I ordered a set of Tri-Y ceramic coated headers from Petronics. Went to a buddies house - put the car up on 4 jack stands as high as they would go - and 3 hours later the job was complete. We would have had it done in under 2 hours had it not been for one tricky exhaust mainifold nut. Everything slid right in from the bottom, bolted up - no real issues. I'll stop by the exhaust shop later this week to have the collectors welded to the H pipe and tail pipes and I'll be in good shape.
