Trouble code - IAC Valve

ok, so I have a 2004 GT with 43k miles. My check engine light came on last night...i used my diablo predator to check the codes when I got home and it came up as P0507. it said "Idle Air Control Valve System"....

I cleared the code with the predator, will it come back?

What does this mean?


Some times when sitting at a stop light it will hold the rpm's around 1200-1400 rpm's for about 10-30 sec's...then the will just drop all the way down and if i dont give it a little gas real quick, it will die at the stop light....


Anyone else have this issue?

How do I fix it?

Do I just need to replace my IAC valve?

Whats the motor craft part number?

you can try clweaning it with carb cleaner before you replace it. you can just tell them the year and what you need and their computer will get you the right part.
